Members of the society have raised these questions in the hope that you can help. All correspondence will be via email to the Administrator who shall then forward the correspondence to the relevant member of the society. This protects the privacy of all parties.

  1. Who was Sarah Cave who marries John Farmer in Newbold on Avon (Leics) on the 8th November 1824? In the 1851 census she gives her age as 43 years and as being born in Kinsale, Cork, Ireland.

  2. Who was W. C. J. Cave, awarded WW1 medal? We believe he married Margaret E Kennedy during the March quarter of 1924 in the St. Pancras District of London. See the Photogallery for more information.

  3. Who was Thomas Cave, age 26 in 1871 and born in Hampshire? He was a Steward on the Nubia in Australian waters at the time.

  4. Henry Cave of Coventry built "The Lady", a voiturette, in 1899.  He worked at Hillfields a major player in the development of Coventry's Car Industry. The lady could achieve a speed of 16 mph. Any one know of him?

  5. Ron Howard (340) is looking for the marriage of Archie William Cave. Archie was born 2nd April 1882 in Portsea (Hants). He died 29th October 1954 in Newhaven Downs (East Sussex).  According to the GRO Index, he had not married by 1910.  He had a family because his death was registered by his daughter-in-law, V M Cave.

  6. Does any one have information on the following? They appear at the top of pedigree charts and, at the moment have no known origins. 

    1. Christopher (YB1) born c 1740 of Stenford (or Henford), Notts.  He married Martha Hemsworth in 1764 and had family in Ordsall, Notts. 

    2. Thomas (XO1) baptised 11Sep1803 in Dewsbury, YKS

    3. George (XE1) born Dec Qtr 1845 Isle of Wight.  He married 1st Ellen Lewis, 2nd Susanna Combon. 

    4. Frank (XZ1) born Dec Qtr 1880 Isle of Wight. Married Beatrice May Bradley. 

    5. Samuel (XC1) born 24Nov1804 of Eynesbury, Hunts.  Married Mary Johnstone 

    6. John (WY1) born c 1810 of Wareham, Dorset.  Married Charlotte Taylor 

    7. William (WM1) who married Sarah Arnold 19th September 1819 at St James, Paddington. 

    8. Joseph (WL1) born 1820 in Balcombe, Sussex and married Harriett in 1840. 

    9. Stephen (WL2) born 1827, also in Balcombe, Sussex and married and had family
