The Commonwealth War Graves Debt of Honour Register lists 91 men and women bearing the surname Cave, Cavie, Cavey, Caves or Cave-Browne who lost their lives in WW2. Many are remembered on UK memorials. The CAVE FHS would be grateful to anyone who is able to visit and photograph a memorial and accompanying entry. Follow the heading link for more details.

The Commonwealth War
Graves Commission lists Caves who lost their lives during WW1.
We aim to record each one to assist you in your research. The society is interested to hear from
anyone (Members and Non-Members) who has information pertaining to
any of those listed on pages 1 thru 6. We are keen to obtain
photographs of the individuals, biographical or family information
as well as photographs of the Commonwealth War Graves. Information about the project can be

The aim of
this project is to take forward and expand the science of DNA
analysis, using the Y-chromosome, to prove links between members of
the society. The project, begun in 2006, is ongoing and proving
fruitful. Full reports on the project progress can be read in the
